1994 Volvo 850 SE Estate 2.5 10v 5 speed manual Petrol, Spares or Repairs
I purchased this car for a project back in November 2019 but change of plans now means that the car is no longer required.
The condition of the paintwork is as it was when I purchased it, the lacquer is peeling on the bonnet, drivers front wing and roof. The overall condition of the bodywork is otherwise in good condition for the age of the car (26 years old). There is a couple of small rust spots on the passenger front wing and a couple of larger rust spots on the tailgate behind the number plate and a couple of small 'carpark' dent marks along the sides.The interior is grey cloth with beige headlining, which is starting to sag very slightly on the drivers front area. It would also benefit from a good valet inside.
Electric windows front and rear which all work, electric wing mirrors, radio cassette player, basic heating controls, no air conditioning.I have the V5 document, the car is listed as SORN. Also have the handbooks which includes some service history and there is only 1 key.
It has not been used since purchase and has been parked up covered, for the majority of the time. When I purchased it I brought it back on a car trailer and when needing to move it from place to place it has been transported on a car trailer. The car has fired up first time, every time and the engine sounds fine. I've checked the oil which still looks clean and all the fluid levels have been checked and are fine.No idea when the timing belt or clutch was last replaced.
I have had it put through an MOT test today, (19/08/20) and it failed hence selling as spares or repairs or suppose it could even end it's life out on the Banger Racing circuit.
Listed below is the work which would need to be completed to get it through an MOT (also see photo above):
Do Not Drive until repaired* N/S/R Tyre has a tear, caused by seperation or partial failure of its structure (Still holds air but not deemed road worthy)
Repair Immediately* Anti-Lock braking system warning lamp does not illuminate (Tester advised that the ABS system is not working).* Direction indicator not working Offside Front (Needs bulb replacing).* Exhaust Lambda reading after 2nd fast idle exceeds default limits.* Exhaust carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle exceeds default limits.* Power steering pipe/hose excessively corroded.
