This vehicle is a rare example of a
collectable 1993 Mercedes – Benz Sportline Limited Edition.  With its low production numbers of only 734 cars produced and shipped to
the North American market, the 1993 W201 Sportline has become increasingly hard
to find and is rarely seen for sale on-line.  The car is completely original with exception of the MB radio (a 1994
Becker) which unfortunately is inoperable. 


Based on the 190e W201 chassis, below are
listed the many unique features incorporated into the last year for this body
style and its special classification making it a truly limited edition production
vehicle.  Pictured is also the actual
production line build document as well as a VIN option sheet prepared by
Mercedes Benz (in German).

Mechanical

The car has been restored for the past 13 years with necessary replacement items
needed as listed below.  Many receipts
for repair are available with the vehicle.

New items include: A/C system including
compressor, evaporator and condenser, radiator, Michelin X tires, exhaust,
battery, new power window motors and new rear brakes-calipers-rotors.  As a US origin vehicle, mileage shown is in
miles not kilometers.  The original owner
was a pharmaceutical salesman and the miles reflected are 90% interstate
highway driven miles.  Engine cylinder
compression is good and engine does not burn oil. Clean CarFax - no accidents.

Current Valuation

Also attached is a recent valuation by
Hagerty – the leading collector car insurance company in all of North America
which shows a significant upward trend in book value based on the actual VIN of the
vehicle.
