Additional Info

Hi everyone,
Up for auction is my 1972 Morris Marina manual 1.7lt 4cyl rwd sedan. A rare car in Australia & very unique. Sold with NO plates, NO RWC, NO rego. Non transferable club plates.
For almost a 50yo car, it drives very well & is very reliable. It has great fuel economy & power for an old girl.Mechanically it is very good. Solid motor/ good gearbox & clutch. A few minor oil leaks, mainly from the tappet cover. Recent work completed including carburetor repairs & fuel system work. Holds fluids & doesn't overheat. 4 speed manual gearbox. Throaty engine noise from factory (quite loud & fun). Solid diff. Suspension feels ok, pretty floaty from factory. No odd noises. Brakes work. All lights work. Instrument needles work, but a bit jumpy so the speedo is a bit hard to guage actual speed. All in all, a solid mechanical structure.
The body is fair/ average for its age. Paint has shine. The bonnet & boot lid are showing age. Someone keyed the bonnet near the windscreen. The boot paint is cracked & has some damage causing it to sit up on the drivers side. The rear quarters have clearcoat peel & evidence of old repairs. The doors & roof are not bad, & the guards have some paint chips etc but fairly straight. There is some surface rust below the windshield that has been touched up with a paintbrush. About the size of a 50c piece. It definitely has patina, but adds charm.Chrome work is great!
The interior is neat in appearance. The front seats have some damage low down & been tapped up. (Splitting in vinyl). The back seat has some sun damage on the top. The dash pad is great. Drivers carpet is a bit tatty.
Some vintage accessories include roof racks with old skies included, front & rear mudflaps, period stickers & original hubcaps with new chrome wheel rings. Bowls set also included.
All in all, a great overall classic rare vehicle. Its definitely not perfect, but it gets huge interest, everyone loves it!
Pickup to be made in Newcastle NSW. Winning bidder to make contact within 24hrs of auction close. Zero feedbackers not welcome. Interstate buyers welcome. Transportation to be made at your own cost.
