I appreciate everyones understanding in this regard.Am selling a much loved ute I've been building for a long time as an unfinished project. Have way too much money and hundred of hours of man hours invested to even come remotely close to recouping the money invested in this ute and the buyer will get their hands on something special that i poured my heart and soul into. Insulting offers will be ignored and earn your name a place added in my blacklist so think carefully before making insulting offers.
Ute has had the following work:
- Full respray, all rust cut out. ( some imperfections still needs cutting back)- Suspension overhauled/sand blasted , all nolothane in front- 4 new tie rod ends- 4 new ball joints (upper and lower)- New idler arm- New pitman arm- Reco steering box ( Active power steering)- 4 new shock absorbers- Reco brake booster (marion brake and clutch)- Rekitted power steering pump- New brake master cylinder- New brake hoses front- Reco xf front callippers (Girlock)- New  brake pipes front- Ford nine inch diff fitter out of zh fairlane with disc brake rear- Fuel inected Eb 5l v8 conversion- BTR4 speed electronic transmission fitted and wired in- TM magna seats retrimmed and padded in chrcoal velour- New carpet- New grey cloth headlining- Xf fairmont interior lamp- Xf door cards with fairmont pockets and speaker grils- New front windscreen- Power windows from xf- Power mirrors off xf- New igniton barrel- New door lock barrel- New keys- Xh ute fuel tank with built in pump fitte along with entire evap system- New Altezza tail lights- new front altezza clear blinker enzes. ( Amber globes fitted )- new ac condenser- new radiator (alloy 3 core 15mm tubes)- new au thermo fans- new adjustable fan controller- new water pump- new radiator hoses- new thermostat- new leads- new distributor cap- new rotor button- new battey (mounted next to fuel tank under tray)- new battery box- dynamat stick on insulation fitted to floor pan and backboard
Engine work:
- Engine has had a full rebuld with the exception of piston replacement and rebore. New piston rings, new bearings, new oil pump, new double row timing chain, new harmonic balancer, new cam bearings. New brass welch plugs, sand blasted intake manifold, ported exhaust ports to remove restriction divets, new stainless valves fitted, new valve stem seals, new gaskets, new seals.
The BTR 4 speed automatic transmission has been coupled to the ford nine inch diff using a cross over  universal joint. Serviced  no metal found in pan and label on side of transmission indicates it is a reconditioned unit by the previous owner from whom's vehicle it was removed.
Engine management is the standard ecu from the Eb falcon it came out of. (eec4)There was noo immobiliser that needed to be disabled on this ecu to enable start. The transmission is controlled by the factory EB TCM. (sitting under drivers seat) 
All electrical systems have been wired and are currently operational. Could use a tidy up and some conduit. I will provide fuse and relay descriptors with th purchase for future reference. All emission controll aparatus retained from donor vehicle incuding catalytic converters, (still intact) purge solenoid and entire evap system with the exception of the factory airbox which would not  fit in this engine bay. Sugest an enclosed pod filter to meet adr requirements keeping induction roar to a minimum. A temporary pod filter is fitted to the mass air flow sensor at the moment to prevent debrit entering the engine.
Body work, included a full respray, both rear quarters replaces, left has sill panel section replaced, rust in roof plated just above the rear screen, all rust rust converted. Did the best I could given my budget and considering the before nd after pictures I think we achieved a fair bit.
Way too much work to list everything here. Happy to discuss with serious potential buyers over the phone.
Things left to do:
- Fit Short nine inch diff yoke ot allow moverment of driveshaft from suspension movement (availabe at diff technics)- Exhaust system ( just cats fitted at the moment, open pipes)- New front + rear wheel bearings- fit park brake cabe (supplied)- fit park brake cable anchors (supplied)- install fuel guage interface to alow float style sender unit to work with capacitive style (available at shiftkits australia website)- number plate support where spare wheel carrier used to be (removed due to rust and to allow roon for cng tanks ( was going to run a piece of polished chequerplate alloy)- Tyres- general tidy up- Make aircon hose hookup and regass- correct small coolat leak from heater pipe inder plenum chamber- V8 front springs (6 cylinder lowered fitted at the moment)- stereo system (have bracket in glovebox new in packet)- get registered.
I am a mechanic of 25 years experience in all makes and models, ncluding a two year stretch at ford muscle parts in belmore many moons ago when they had a workshop. According to my research, the vehicle may require engineering for the seating and the adapter plate fitted to allow mounting of the transmision, From my interpretation of the vsb14 which has been superceded by the vsi7 ( freely available from service nsw website), which are the documents used to determine the requirment of certification or not,  the conversion may possibly be abe to be registered without engineering the engine modifications. Earlier on in the project I did contact service nsw quering the modifications and they responded in writing regarding the fuel system and engine upgrade however it was a while ago, the rules have changed since I started the build and I lost the email. The rules state if the fuel system has been "altered" the vehicle requires certification from an engineer, however, my interpretation of the rule with regards to the word "altered" pertains to "aftermarket" performance fuel ystems that may not comply with the emission standards of the vehicle it is fitted into such as aftermarket  computers, injectors, manifold, rails etc. As ALL the emission control aparatus and fuel system fitted is from a similar vehicle of later year and higher adr standad that belonged on the donor running gear, the emissions controll systems  will exceed the original vehicles standards in 1981 and as it has been installed in the earlier vehicle in "un-altered" state, should not require certification. Given the engine mountings, cross member, engine capacities and power to weight are verry similar, there were no modifications to cross members or engine mounts, engine should not need engineering either. Given the "engine familly" is ford  and the donor ford,(same familly) this should also not be a factor requiring certification. That being said this is up to the interpretation of the blue slip  inspector to decide, but I would advise this conversation be had with the inspector in the way described. Either way engineering or not,  this vehicle will not be a headache as the attention to detail with regards to adr's has been kept in mind during the entire build. Its not a race car, built as a daily cruiser.
My personal experience with blue slip inspectors is they are generally lazy, pig headed and prefer to get you to engineer it rather than read the rules that apply which is what they should be doing. But s ego's run high in my industry it is difficult in many cases to have a logical discussion on the matter especially when you work with the inspectors involved. I would suggest original seating be installed for inspection also as technically this would require certification as the rails of the seat have been modified to enable instalation onto the ford floor pan which ha not been modified in any way.  The Ute comes with loads of spares. Has been nearl 10 years since it's been resprayed. driven 3 - 4 times for short distances so far with trade plate for testing purposes. Drives beautifully. Allways garaged when not in use, Never left out in the weather. Couple of scratches here and there but nothing major considering the time its been in storage. Have about 500ml of paint left for brush touching. Colour is from a mercedes clk320. Metaic blue.  
Regretable sale, I need to make some short term sacrifices for long term goals right now. Thats life, my loss is someone elses gain. If I dont get the figure I am after will consider selling as rolling chassis and keep the engine, gearbox and diff for another proect down the line. That being said if i sell as a rolling chassis you wont be getting any of the extra spare parts or the nine inch diff. the smart buy is to take the lot while the opportunity is there.
