1995 Dodge Viper RT/10 Venom 600 HennessyVIN: 1B3CR65E8SV[hidden information]Mileage: 10,169 US Miles (16,365 KM)Emerald Green Pearl Metallic over Tan LeatherHennessey Motorsports Inc. work order #: 3095Winner of Motor Trend’s “Raw Power” competition, this is one of 307  Emerald Green Pearl Metallic Dodge Viper RT/10 convertibles produced in 1995 and the twenty-first transformed by Hennessey Performance to Venom 600 specifications. The comprehensive Hennessey Venom 600 package gives the Viper RT/10 a bump in bore and stroke of .060 and .80 inches respectively for an increase in displacement to a whopping 520 cubic inches. Add a 5140 steel crankshaft, 4340 billet-steel connecting rods, 10.0:1 compression forged aluminum pistons and a roller/ rocker camshaft, and the result is a pavement-shredding 635 horsepower with a 655 ft. lbs. torque, all of it handled by a 6-speed manual transmission and an upgraded 3.54 Positraction rear end. Capped with a Hennessey double bubble hard top, the car includes a full soft top and cockpit cover, AM/FM cassette, and air conditioning. In Motor Trend’s words, this unique Viper is “raw, almost unnerving, and completely glorious.”Performance Data on the Venom 600 From Hennessey: (with hardtop and windows on the vehicle)0-60 mph in 3.4 sec1/4 mile in 11.3 sec @ 124 mphTop Speed: 194 mphHIGHLIGHTS– One owner from new– Hennessey Venom 600 Roadster Serial #021– Unique in that it has two different valve covers from Hennessey – “Venom 600” and “520 CI”– Motor Trend’s “Raw Power” cover car and winner in March 1996 (this car was not actually on the cover, #003 was).– #21 Hennessey car produced in 1995 – 1 of only 307 Emerald Green RT/10s produced in 1995 – Hennessey’s $29,500 Venom 600 upgrade package – Total output was rated at 635 HP and 655 ft/lbs of torque – Engine bored .060 over and .080 increase in stroke – Displacements jumped from 488 CI to 520 CI – Aluminum block and pistons, roller/rocker cam – 5140 steel crank, 4340 rods, 10:1 compression – 6-speed manual, 3.54 Positraction rear end – Hennessey double bubble hardtop with side windows – Full soft top and soft cockpit cover – Air conditioning, AM/FM cassette player – Signature Viper side exhaust – A true supercar that defines the term raw horsepowerThis 1995 Dodge Viper RT/10 was bought new by it’s first and only owner at Big 4 Motors in Calgary Alberta for $77,965.55 CAD on January 19th 1996. Allan is local car collector with a taste for high octane and horsepower. The cover of Motor Trend’s “Raw Power” featured a black RT/10 with the Hennessey Venom 600 upgrades. The performance statistics were staggering, beating a stock Ferrari F50 which retailed for $500,000 USD at the time. It was irresistable!Allan struck a deal with John Hennessey in January of 1997 and sent the car down for the “Venom 600 System” at a cost of $29,500 USD. The invoices show two Vipers going down to Hennessey Motorsports Inc. Allan’s friend also had a 95 Viper RT/10, in Red, and wanted the Venom 600 System. Hennessey’s work was so highly regarded that Chrysler continued to honor their warranty even after the Venom upgrades. Hennessey additionally warrantied their engine work and he received many more cars than he could return to customers in a timely fashion.Allan’s Viper remained with Hennessey for longer than originally quoted. Hennessey and his two mechanics were backed up with a slew of Escalades and Vipers that had been sent down to him. Determined to have his car back, Allan flew down to Houston and spent a month living with Hennessey to supervise the completion of his car. The only Hennessey modifications are to the engine, with the optional carbon fiber gear shift lever and double bubble hard top.It comes complete with its original bill of sale and a copy of the NVIS invoice from Chrysler Canada. The Hennessey introductory package and invoices are also with the car, as are a copy of Sports Car International AND a Motor Trend Top Speed Test with a Venom 600 featured on the cover, an original Dodge Viper sales brochure, original book pouch, books, warranty and information on the Bell radar detector system, and an entire binder from Hennessey with instructions on care. Additional items with the car are a Dodge Viper baseball hat with snake logo, Hennessey double bubble hard top and soft side windows, soft top, and soft cockpit cover still in original packaging, spare tire, original floor mats and Venom floor mats.Allan drove #021 home from Houston. After a very careful drive to break in the engine they detoured through Utah. In the salt flats he claims to have achieved hit 180mph, but didn’t dare to push it further. That kind of speed “makes telephone poles look like a picket fence” and even under the right conditions is extremely dangerous. We don’t encourage anyone to drive in that manner without professional supervision and necessary safety equipment. Since then he rarely used the Viper other than a few trips from Vancouver to Calgary and back. The mileage is all highway and only in the summers.“Never drive when the roads are wet. Just park it and take a cab home. You will not live to talk about it.” – John Hennessey on the Venom 60
