1962 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster

My Corvette came from California (was a Blue Plate car when I imported her from the US) and has the Muncie 4 speed manual gearbox. This was the last year for the C1 models, the first year when they were fitted with the 327ci V8 engine as standard, and the last model that had an opening boot for many years.
The engine has been rebuilt by the previous owner and has a mild cam, electronic ignition, Holley carby etc.  All the usual hop-up items for classic 'Vetts.
There are new electrically operated windscreen wipers (invisible apart from the lack of the huge original wiper motor - and no more stretched cables!) and new door rubbers. The radiator looks to be new (again, previous owner). The car has a new battery with an isolator, new exhaust system with sports mufflers, new shocker bushes and new brake hoses. There are new tyres on the 5 spoke American Racing wheels.
She starts, runs and drives just as you'd expect a near 60 year old Corvette to. The gauges show the oil pressure sitting at idle and water temp after a 70Klm run in 28C weather today. Presently, the clutch occasionally 'sticks' for half a second before re-engaging, (probably due to a lack of use) but that doesn't affect driving the car. With the electronic ignition the mechanical (cable drive) tacho is not connected. The odometer doesn't roll over, but the speedo is good and works well.
She was originally fawn with a red interior, but was repainted grey sometime back in the '70's or '80's - and still has the cool pinstriping on both the body and on the removeable hardtop. The hardtop headliner is black and shown in the photos - there is a soft top on the car, but I've never used it.
The paintwork has it's fair share of sun fading, scratches, patches and bumps - but that's why I bought her and I love the look.
If a new owner decides to repaint the car, well, that's their call. But she attracts more attention than any other classic that I've owned over the years. Apparently it's called 'patina' :)
There is a new Al Knoch red dashboard, new door cards and new red carpets to go with the Corvette in case the new owner decides to go back to original (the existing red dash looks fine to me) and as well as new rubbers for the hardtop. The heater box has been removed, so she would be a perfect candidate for a Vintage Air Surefit A/C system if desired.
Lastly, I have the original WonderBar radio to go with her.
No trailer queen this - I found a car park pass for the Los Altos High School under the drivers seat. What a lucky student, or maybe a teacher back in the day..?
Currently running on Victorian Club permit which is sadly not transferrable, but good for either full rego, or Club permit.
Questions and inspection welcomed - but before the end of the auction please.
Thanks for looking.
