Up for auction is my 2005 Ford F250 FX4 (4x4) powerstroke diesel. I bought this truck in 2012 from the second owner with approximately 36,000 miles on it. I used the truck off and on since then for work and pulling our fifth wheel trailer approximately 2-4 times a year. My job required having a diesel vehicle so I could go underground into limestone mines when necessary. I recently switched jobs so that's no longer the case, and I also have the use of my dad's F-350 to pull the trailer. Please note all the original manuals and both sets of factory keys are included. This isn't a polished mystery vehicle from the auction like most Ebay junk. When I bought the truck, it came with a Banks exhaust already installed and from the way it runs, I would guess that it has a chip in the computer. It has always been adult owned and averages 17 mpg. I always run Shell Rotella synthetic oil and change it every 5000 miles. Last summer this truck had a long crank start condition and was immediately taken to a local shop where the entire high pressure oil system was redone costing several thousand dollars. It should last a long, long time now that that's all taken care of. An EGR delete was done at this time too. The engine itself has never been apart. Please keep the low mileage, body condition, and high pressure oil system rebuild in mind when comparing this to other trucks.
A Cobra 25 CB was installed between the sun visors and it was used very little. The interior is very clean and there are no major rust spots on the outside. There are a few bubbles here and there and some clear coat chipping on the blue below the headlights. I would say the rear bumper is the worst part of the truck. Every other year or so I use a wire brush on it and then repaint it but it really should be replaced to match the rest of the truck's condition. The tires are 10 ply Hankooks in good shape. The bed has a spray in liner and also a B&W gooseneck hitch underneath the bed. I have a B&W fifth wheel hitch that is not included in the auction but will be available separately and first offered to the winning bidder. (I'm not keeping the hitch because my dad's truck has a Reese in it.) The only problem on the inside is a broken handle for the small compartment below the trailer brakes. The bug deflector is broken on one side but still work fine so I never replaced it. Recently the ABS light came on with code 27, most probably because the "off" light for the passenger airbag stopped working. This is a relatively easy and very inexpensive repair but since it involves soldering and popping a few things apart I'd rather not do it while the auction is ongoing. Of course this is a used vehicle in used condition and there are chips, scratches, and other blemishes here and there. I encourage anyone interested to come look at and ride in the truck before they bid. There are plenty of shops locally where you can take it to have a mechanic look it over as well. Please note the truck is located in Indiana, PA which is about an hour east of Pittsburgh. I am not in the state of Indiana.Payment in full by cash only is required before the truck leaves. We have a AAA and many notaries in town. Thanks for looking.
