Title Status (PLEASE READ!): Previously salvaged/rebuild title in NY from a non-structural accident in 2007. The car has no frame/unibody damage and the bodywork was repaired beautifully by a certified BMW dealer body shop.
I do have a clean CA title in my name. When the car moved to CA with the PO and was registered here, the DMV provided a clean CA title.
Regardless of the clean CA title in hand, the car is priced and listed to reflect the rebuilt/salvaged title history.

Subframe: Inspected twice during my ownership of 1.5 years and is still crack free as of 2 weeks ago. The rear end has not been dropped for the chassis reinforcements but this repair is also not needed at this time. Preventative maintenance and "bulletproofing" is always recommended on this chassis.
Rod Bearings: Being a low mileage & late model S54, I have opted to monitor the bearing wear via Blackstone Oil Analysis. The late model S54s had some BMW updates to the rod bearing clearances. The oil reports indicate the bearings still are in good shape and do not show the lead/copper content which show early indications of worn bearings. To my knowledge, the bearings are still original and the engine has not been opened up. A rod bearing replacement on the S54 is always recommended to be safe.
Vanos: This has been visually inspected with the valve cover off. The vanos exhaust hub tabs are in tact and the Vanos passes the OEM BMW GT1 "Vanos Test" The vanos is functioning completely normal but has not been torn apart and "bulletproofed"
Known issues:• Non-functioning aftermarket head unit (needs replacement, recommend going OEM/OEM+)• Passenger mirror does not fold up
