Up for sale is my 1996 Impala SS.
Here is some information I like to share with you
I have owned her for a few years.
I am the second owner I was lucky to find a 1 owner example when I was searching.
Premium fuel always used
Never winter driven no rust. Body is completely original paint minus the front and rear bumpers. I had these removed and re painted base coat/clear coat due to factory clear coat defects.
offering for sale since I don't use car and thought it would be best to sell.
Interior Original minus the front seat. The front seat had a minor crack in the factory leather. I had front seat repaired with a factory replacement leather from street trends.
Center console floor shifter like we all love on the 1996 model year.
Car is fully loaded which includes the factory rear view mirror that is automatically dimmable.
Ice cold air conditioner
Factory cassette with factory cd changer in trunk.
New OEM Impala SS factory floor mats. (sure freshen up the interior.)
Bodyclean no rust original paint car and as mentioned above I properly removed front and rear bumpers to give them both a fresh repaint.
WheelsOriginal 17" wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires (factory sized) I did have wheels removed cleaned up and re balanced with stick on wheel weights. (Cleaner then the hammer on type of weights.)
BrakesRear brakes serviced and new ceramic brake pads installed at 77000miles ([hidden information]km)Front brakes serviced and new ceramic brake pads installed at 77693miles ([hidden information]km)
TransmissionFactory Original transmission and we had fluids (Castrol Dex/Merc 3) and filter gasket (Atp brand) changed at 77718miles ([hidden information])km unfortunately I am now finding red fluid drips on the floor. Something is leaking. I will include another filter and gasket kit hopefully easy fix but not sure.
Rear differential Fluid changed at 77686miles ([hidden information])kmFluid used 80w90 GL5 AC Delco (gasket brand used Felpro).
EngineFactory 350 V8 numbers matchingOil changes have been done using Mobil1 synthetic and factory Blue Delco filters.Serpentine belt replaced using (Gates brand) and tensioner replaced 77360miles ([hidden information]km)New spark plugs and Ignition wires. New OEM updated Maf sensor ([hidden information])New 57-3011 K&N performance air intake system (little pricey at $300us but nice complete kit)Coolant temperature sensor replaced (Delco/Delphi) 77360miles ([hidden information]km)
Coolant replaced with Dexcool (AC Delco brand) 77360miles ([hidden information]km)New water pump.-another issue that came up is a intake back fire. This happened ever since I did coolant flush and rinsed residual from old coolant. Issue happens when car is idling and if you where to step on gas Immediately hard. Driving car normally I don't notice it. I think I got water on the opti spark. I have replaced cap and rotor (AC Delco) on opti helped some but still noticeable.I think complete new opti might be needed but not confirmed (new opti are around $200.) All 4 Oxygen sensors replaced with AC Delco (AFS75)
Fuel System 78914miles ([hidden information]km)Fuel filter replaced (AC Delco used)Fuel Pump and sending unit newFuel pressure regulator replaced these 3 items really helped car start up with less cranking . (Big improvement)
