This nearly spotless 1996 Cadillac DeVille has been a Southern California car since new. Sold new in Tustin California and has spent much of its life in the desert communities of Palm Springs. I acquired the car last year from its second owner, a 90 year old lady who had finally hung up her keys. The car was her pride and joy and it was meticulously maintained, mostly at the local Cadillac dealership in LaQuinta. It has just 65,450 miles since new and has always been garaged. The condition is very very nice.
There is a fat file of service records on the car that date back to new. The majority of the receipts are general maintenance and service. The transmission was rebuilt at 60,600 miles, just over 2000 miles on new tires installed in 2018. The receipts are impressive, the car was brought into the dealer for even the smallest of issues. Just out of curiosity, I added them all up and over $20,000 has been spent on maintenance on the car during its ownership (and I imagine there are other receipts not counted for). Certainly a well maintained car. It runs and drives excellent and I would not be afraid to hop in it and drive coast to coast. The ABS/Traction control light does come on intermittently from time to time, but it does not seem to affect the operation of the car at all. It has the full on board computer that tracks everything and I have been impressed that it averages about 20mpg consistently and that is mostly in town and on the mountain roads near my home. On the highway it does even better.
It has all the owners books and manuals and even the original sales brochure. It has the special order faux convertible canvas top , chrome wheels, full leather interior and a host of other options. American luxury at its finest in the mid 90's. They certainly don't build them like this anymore. One of the last true full size luxury sedans!
Personal inspection is suggested, but if not possible I can certainly provide more photos and details.
The hope is to find the car a home that will properly care for and preserve it. Its made it through the last 24 years still looking superb, I would love to see that continue.
You just do not see them this nice these days, even here in California.
