This 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 is powered by a carbureted 350ci Chevrolet V8 paired with a four-speed manual gearbox, a torque splitter, and a dual-range transfer case. The truck has been refinished in silver with blue side stripes over a patterned gray cloth interior. Additional equipment includes a 4″ Ironman lift, Ion alloy wheels, front disc brakes, an ARB front bumper with a winch, a custom rear bumper, and an ARB roof rack with a ladder.
The truck was refinished in its current silver with blue side stripes under prior ownership. Features now include an ARB front bumper with a winch as well as a custom 4×4 Labs rear bumper with skid-plate corners, a hydraulic latch, a tool box, a gas can, and a propane tank. The ARB roof rack is equipped with a slide-out aluminum ladder. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown in detail in the photo gallery below.
Black 15″ Ion alloy beadlock-look wheels are mounted with 36″ x 13.5″ Super Swamper IROK tires, and a full-size spare is stored beneath the vehicle. The front axle features locking hubs and disc brakes, with drums in the rear. The brakes, master cylinder, proportioning valve, and steering box have been replaced
The cabin features individual front bucket seats and a rear bench with patterned gray upholstery and vinyl backs. The peppered gray carpeting has been replaced and fitted with floor mats front and rear. Diamond-plate trim has been added to the front doors, and a Bluetooth-capable JVC stereo and amplifier have been added to support the six-speaker sound system.
A Grant steering wheel sits ahead of a dashboard that is covered with a DashMat. The six-digit odometer shows 239k miles.
The 350ci Chevy V8 is said to have been a crate engine that is topped with a 750cfm four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, an HEI distributor, custom-built headers, and a 100-amp alternator. A four-core radiator and a 700-amp battery are also installed, and the fuel lines and coolant hoses were replaced when the engine was fitted under previous ownership. Power is delivered to either the rear or all four wheels through a Toyota H42 four-speed manual transmission, a Ranger Torque Splitter from Advance Adapters, and a dual-range transfer case.
The suspension has been modified with an Ironman 4″ lift kit, a 1.5″ high-steer kit, a reverse shackle kit, extended brake and fuel lines, Rancho 9000 shocks, and more. The front driveshaft was replaced and the rear driveshaft was custom-built by Danny’s Drivelines.
