has been in my family for nearly 40 years.
A) 1971 --> Literally one of the 1st 350SLs off the production line after the Pagoda
B) Factory Manual --> 4spd factory manual
(Unsubstantiated tit bit - only 6, 1971 manuals sold in Australia)
( If this is true, who knows how many are left£ )
A and B make this car one of the rarer SLs floating around. Whilst not a $100K car today it will be soon.
For those who know their cars, it has later model wheels and front spoiler on it. (this was a aesthetic choice many many years ago)
- No body rust
- Literally $10K spent in July on Motor and gearbox rebuild
$6.5K in labour (full motor out, strip to block and rebuild
$3.5K in brand new replacement parts sourced around the world over 6 months
- Straight body
- Reasonable paint (great for a daily driver) would need a respray for show car (7/10)
- List of things need doing to it
connect odometer and fuel gauge ( both not working for some reason)
service steering (car sways a bit at speed
drivers side carpet needs to be glued down. (moves as you move your feet on the pedals
owners manual but no service books
Seats, door cards and carpet will need to be re-upholstered
/ soft top condition - Hard top has not been for at least 20 years. so I don't know
Will consider offers as I'm looking to use this cash to trade up to another vehicle.
On Club rego, so sold as is with no rego.
Can assist with freight anywhere in the country.
