This is a 1970 Land Rover Series 2a 109 utility that was first owned by the NSW Rural Fire Service. During its career it served at Hanging Rock, near Tamworth.
It has 17,xxx miles on the odometer, which the former owner of 18 years ownership believes is a genuine mileage. The vehicle has no rust and appears to have spent its life in a shed away from the elements.
It is in very good condition.
In the last week it has had all six slave cylinders replaced as well as the master cylinder, a rear flexible brake hose and replenished with new brake fluid.
Recently it has had a new exhaust and new SU electric fuel pump
With the exception of one item, everything on the vehicle works, the keys lock the driver's door and the sliding windows operate and lock.
The fuel gauge does not work.
The engine starts immediately and an experienced Land Rover enthusiast has told me the vehicle runs quietly with no excessive gear noise found in worn Land Rovers.
vehicle is straight, unmolested and in great condition. The right front guard has damage from a
minor collision with something which can be seen in the photograph.
