Here is a wonderful example of a 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 Sedan. She has a 289 Small V-8 that turns over and starts every time.
No smoke or exhaust puffs and is as quiet as a purring kitten. The paint is about 6 years old and a pleasant dark blue exterior matches the lighter blue interior. The chrome around the vehicle is in great shape and she is ready to go anywhere and brings great attention on the road and big smiles to anyone behind the steering wheel.
This is a great entry vehicle for anyone that wants to experience the world of classic cars and the great joys associated with owning a piece of American history.
She is equipped with manual steering and manual brakes since we wanted to keep everything stock like it was when she was new, however, I will include power steering hardware for those that want to convert it.
The paint has a few imperfections here and there including some rock chips in the hood, but as you can see in the photos overall it is in great shape.
I do not have records of the rebuild, but the engine was re-built 6 years ago and odometer reset to 0 miles 8k ago. Body has about 70k on it.
The frame is free of any issues and she drives straight and true.
Having manual brakes, the right front one likes to catch a bit earlier than the rest but this can be adjusted. It never really bothered me too much.
There is a small oil leak under the engine which wasn't bad enough for me to get to, but may be something the new owner wants to address eventually.
All the electronics work fine, including exterior lights, high beams, turn signals, dash lights, stereo, and interior dome light.
All doors and windows open without hesitation, and all the locks work fine.
Heat works great. No factory A/C. Has manual summer vents for great airflow on hot days!
