You are bidding on a 1949 Crosley Hot Shot Convertible. I recently purchased this car from a couple that had inherited it from their grandmother after their grandfather had passed away. He apparently bought the car new and had enjoyed owning it for close to 73 years. I brought the car to my shop on a trailer and gave it a good washing. I had a local tire shop install all new tires on it as it definitely had what looked like the original tires on it. I checked the fluid levels on the engine oil and radiator to make sure they were up to correct capacity. Installed a new battery and poured some gas down the carburetor and it fired right up. The engine sounds good considering it had not been started in a long time. At this point I have decided I have too many projects so I am listing it on EBAY so someone else can enjoy restoring it. Not to mention that I am 6'6" tall and don't fit in in. There are a few light rust spots here and there but overall in pretty sound shape. The interior appears to be original and will definitely need some new seat covers. The hydraulics and fuel tank will need to be serviced to be able to drive the car. The transmission seems to shift fine thru all gears. If you have been looking to own one of these unique cars "Made in America" then look no further as this is a great candidate for a fun restoration. Please feel free to contact me if you would like additional information, specific pictures, or to schedule an inspection.
