Additional Info

Being relisted following buyer not proceeding with the sale.
This is a rare find in Australia being a triple white Karmann Beetle factory convertible. This is a factory original convertible not a half backed chopped top beetle.
Car has been substantially completed and has had most of the repairs completed. Very solid body with no rust in A pillars or B pillars or floors. The engine is a 1600 but not the original 1600 fuel injected engine. Engine was running strongly when fitted. I am selling as I have just bought another project which will take a large amount of time and funds to complete.
The car comes with huge numbers of spares which have been accumulated over the years. This was originally a left hand drive car imported by  Brookvale Spares when they were down at Brookvale Sydney. The car has now been converted to right hand drive and just needs to be finished and has all the panels and parts required. The only thing needed to complete the car is a new windscreen and new convertible fabric section for the top and interior. All the hood frames including bows etc are included. The fabric top can be bought as a spare part from CIP1 in America and the windscreen from any windscreen supplier. The car has used a 71 beetle to do all the repairs and has the 71 floor pan and 1600 that was in the car at the time which was a good running engine. The 71 was a registered car in QLD and the car comes with all the tags for the 71 beetle. No import papers came with the car when we bought the car which has been in Australia being restored for many years down in Tasmania.
Most of the repairs have been completed to the car and all remaining work is fairly straight forward. Car can be rolled onto a trailer. There are still a few patch panels to be fitted and all the patch pieces are included these areas are inside the guards and are very straight forward repairs. The body itself is amazing with great A and B pillars and very straight panels all the way around. This is the perfect project to end up with one of the most collectible Beetles out there.
I have only just recently imported the correct wheels which we found in Austria and have had them powder coated and fitted with new tyres. There is a full set of 5 with all new tyres on the set.
There are a few extras like guards and struts which are not required for the restoration but are included you can either sell them or keep them as spares.
Included is also the original glass rear heated window and its correct steel frame, both bumpers and the special mounting brackets. Currently fitted with a set of very nice quality front seats made by Brookvale spares but if you want to change to the original seats they are easily obtained and the original runners are still fitted to the floor.
Happy for anyone to come by who may be interested have a lot at the car which is in my garage in Mittagong. Give me a call on 0416 288 445 and we can arrange an inspection. Happy to help load the car to a trailer or to your carrier. I have used Victor at Umbrella towing to ship cars for me in the past and he will go anywhere in Australia apart from WA and Tasmania.
Happy to hold onto the car for a few weeks if needed as long as payment in full has been made.
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. If you have questions like will my wife let me own the car or anything else, ask before you bid not after the sale has been finalised as I don't want to waste more time dealing with keyboard warriors with no idea.  Cheers Andrew
