Seller's Description

RARE HISTORIC 1959/60 MAZDA T600 TEA45 3 WHEEL TRUCK - FIRST MAZDA IN AUSTRALIA

RARE!
1959/1960 MAZDA T600 WHEEL TRUCK

Mostly complete Mazda T600, in pretty tragic condition, however these are one of the rarest cars in Australia, so just the fact that it exists is amazing.
This car was found sitting on farm east of Perth, where it had obviously been decaying for decades. have had it for couple of years, and have used it for garden art, but it deserves better.
This is TEA45, making it one of the Australian delivered trucks instead of later import, I'm sure if you are looking at this ad, then you know about these little trucks. Very few were ever sold in Australia (about 20 or so to the best of my knowledge) and VERY few remain.
(I have the only one in WA that know of, there is one in the Birdwood motor museum and couple in Queensland, Mazda also have one in their Museum, but believe that one is not TEA45)
This one has bit of history behind it (according to the previous owner who had it for many many years) It was the VERY FIRST T600 off the boat, and was used as demonstrator by Westralian Motorcycles in Perth. Making this particular truck the FIRST MAZDA EVER in Australia.
It was great find, but now it's time to move it along as am clearing out some clutter in preperation for moving, so it needs to go soon.
The little truck is in very sad and sorry state, but most of it is there. The engine is there, but it is missing one piston, one barrel and one head (I assume lack of parts is why it was parked up in the first place)
It has no seats, no steering wheel, no glass (these had perspex windows) etc
The body is shot, But there is enough left to work with to repair or to reshape new panels. It will need new floors, sills, doors, basically everything needs to be repaired or replaced. The bonnet does exist, but it's unrecognisable, as it was laying on the ground and has been run over by farm equipment. The tailgate exists, and is restorable (you can still make out the original "westralian Motorcycles" signwriting)
Original Westralian Motorcycles signwriting still visable on the passenger door, and still there on the drivers door underneath layer of flaking black paint.
The gearbox and diff actually appear to be quite ok, the chassis is quite good, but doubt the motor would be any good, however, there are plenty of good parts on it if you wanted to wreck it (the carby, dizzy, generator etc are all there (I think the generator is seized though)
(I was contemplating fitting shaft drive motorcycle engine to it, but it's never going to happen)
So please do be aware of what you are getting yourself into, this is not project for the feint hearted, it is ideal for people who collect T600's or K360's as i'm sure they can appreciate the extreme scarcity of these things. Or would make great garden ornament or farm gate ornament. many people have stopped to ask me what on earth it is, it's an interesting relic that attracts lot attention from the locals.
It does roll, the tyres are all flat and don't hold air, It can't be steered as the steering wheel is missing. currently have it sitting on the back of my unfinished car trailer, so it can easily be rolled onto another car trailer or truck etc, but does need winch due to the flat tyres. It does fit onto an 8x5 box trailer (with the front tailgate down and the front wheel on the a-frame) but car trailer is probably the best option.
PICKUP ONLY, cannot deliver it, as my trailer is incomplete, The little Mazda is located in NORTHAM which is 98 km's east of Perth, Interstate buyers are welcome, but PLEASE arrange freight yourself, there is towing company in town that can bring it to Perth, but again, please make pickup arrangements yourself.I am happy to help load it onto trailer, but please make sure you bring trailer or truck with winch.
Cash on Pickup is preferred, but PayPal is also accepted.
It's extremely difficult to put value on such rare item, it's the only one for sale in Australia, so how do you value such thing? have just put up price for the sake of it, so feel free to make an offer on what you think it's worth as really don't know..
*Please note*PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO COLLECT IT WITHIN MONTH OF PURCHASE, IF NOT COLLECTING STRAIGHT AWAY THEN WILL REQUIRE PAYMENT WITHIN DAYS OF PURCHASE, NEED TO GET RID OF IT SOON AS AM MOVING.  Thanks for looking, and have wonderful day!
