The fact that more people haven't realised that turbo-diesel hatchbacks are the most fun you can have on public road still surprises me, and the Audi A3 is great example of it. With loads of grunt from the moment the clutch starts to engage, this little beast leaps off the line and then almost instantly grabs the next gear while the guy in the manual car next to you is hunting for the next cog, and the guy driving the auto in the next lane over is slushing his way to new ratio.
Anyway, this particular A3 has lead relatively charmed life. Owned by an eastern suburban mum for most of its life, it found its way into my hands only briefly, before got job that sends me overseas regularly and fiancée that wants to buy farm. I've had it for fair while now, but done less than 5000km in it. It's practical and comfy, with the brilliant interior Audi is renowned for. It's in great condition, with no major incidents to speak of. Theres bit of gravel rash on few wheels, and couple of carpark dents and nicks as can be expected for year old car. The interior is clean, has never had lit cigarette in it, and is surprisingly devoid of stains or rips anywhere. It's spent most of its life with only one person in it.
The previous owner added bluetooth car kit to the stereo which works better than you'd expect for an aftermarket unit. Calls are crisp and clear.
I'm not sure what options and upgrades were available with this model to be honest, but this one has everything you want car to have in my opinion. Cloth seats (because leather sounds good until you have to sit in it and either burn your arse because it's hot day or slide all over the f*ckin' place because it's too slippery), sun roof, electric everything, and it all works. It's had all the major overhauls done, with full logbooks showing the gearbox has had good looking after, and the timing belt has been replaced so it's ready to attack the next 150,000km with the same confidence it did the first 150.
It's currently unregistered because I've been overseas for most of the last six months. had the battery on trickle charger though so it's all good and starts first turn of the key (of which only have one, by the way). The rear right tyre has slow leak (deflates over the course of about fortnight), it's probably just the valve but haven't gotten around to fixing it.
I haven't given it full wax and clean out, so what you see is an honest representation of what the car actually looks like. need to buy house to placate my other half so please bring cash and take this thing off my hands (even though will cry little inside).
Looking for no-hassle sale.
If you want RWC, I'm happy to arrange one for you for an additional $300 over the final sale price (it's not going to need anything done to it).
